Locomotive Conductor/ Engineer (Childersburg, AL)

Corman Railroad is seeking a certified Locomotive Conductor / Engineer in Childersburg, AL.
This role will coordinate with switch engine crews to facilitate trains in an industrial plant.
Previous Locomotive Conductor experience REQUIRED
Responsibilities:
Ensure compliance with all train orders, signals, and railroad rules and regulations for safe operationsReceive and transmit information by radio and telephonePerform locomotive inspections dailyRead and understand bulletins, work orders, and switch listsWork with customers to ensure accurate movement and placement of carsWear protective equipment including hearing protection, safety-toe boots, and safety glassesWork hours includes 12-hour workday, and rotating shifts, (night, weekend, Holidays etc.
)Must be okay with working outside in all weather conditionsComplete annual training and pass safety operating rules examinationPhysical Requirements:
Able to perform physically strenuous workRequires constant standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, and balancing in a safe mannerRequires frequent stooping, kneeling, and crouchingAble to lift and carry objects weighing up to 80lbsAble to push and pull with up to 150lbs of forceAble to pass hearing and vision evaluationEnvironmental Conditions:
Work is performed outside in varying types of environmental conditionsMust be able to pass drug screen, background, and physical capacity test.
